There were a group of older fellas talking about their days in CB back in the 60's and 70's and how it has changed , and about Hams that use ESSB on AM . They weren't real favorable of the ESSB guys. It went on for awhile then they started getting QRM'd BIG time. Baby crying noises, burping, etc music. Thought I was listening to channel 19 LOL !
You can probably thank the 3885 crew (or their sycophants) for that.
Used to hang out on 3892 years ago with a bunch from OH, PA, NY and VA. Another crowd - primarily in TN and KY - operated on 91 in the evenings. As soon as the band opened to them, myself and whomever else wanted to join would shift down a kilohertz.
It's funny you mention the 91 group. There is one guy on there that splatters way down the band. The other night one of the group got a new 3.5kw amp and blew it up.
