After several weeks of going back and forth over should I buy this beam or not, I finally pulled the trigger tonight and bought a 4 element delta loop from AWK antennas. I looked at the SmarTech 4 element delta loop also. The AWK is very similar in build same square boom, very similar in the way the elements attach to boom, both antennas seem to be built like tanks. But the AWK boom is a little over 16ft long compared to 19 ft on the SmarTech and the AWK is about 17lbs lighter coming in at 39 lbs compared to 57 lbs. And the AWK plus shipping from Poland is $574 about half price of a SmarTech shipped from Italy. I wanted a sturdy delta loop and being similar in build and about half the price I went with the AWK. Now I have a reason to get my tower standing, but I'm gonna have to get a stout rotor to handle this thing.

OK, here's a little update. I worked nights last hitch so I haven't got my days and nights straight yet, in about 2 hrs I will have been up 24 hrs. So I've been spending money. I ordered the 4 element delta loop from AWK and 3 hrs later they canceled the order because they didn't realize at first I live in the states and $574 was for postal not FedEx shipping, FedEx was going to be $774 and they took it upon themselves to cancel my order without contacting me first. After I emailed them and found out what was going on I sent another email to arrange for me to reorder the antenna, and after waiting a few hrs with no reply from them I went ahead and ordered the 4 element delta loop from SmarTech. So far they haven't canceled my order but shipping was $200 so Im assuming it will be shipped FedEx, so far so good. This antenna is gonna cost me just a little bit under 1k I think it will be the better of the two anyway and deep down is the one I honestly wanted in the first place so im good with it. I'm 57yrs old and always wanted a big antenna I'm not getting any younger so why not, I can't take the money with me when I kill over. I'm definitely gonna need a strong rotor now.

AWK did get back to me yesterday morning. He explained they are a small supplier and that they have some limitations on what they're capable of but offered to work with me. I'm sure we could have worked it out but I was dead set on buying an antenna that very minute. I thanked him for getting back with me and offering to work something out and that I had no bad feelings towards him his business or his products, I felt he was doing his best for me and sometimes things don't work out. All in all I feel AWK is good to do business with things just didn't fall in place, but I wouldn't hesitate to try and do business with them again. Even though I didn't buy his antenna I was still impressed with customer service
