Yes sir. And I am up like a loonatic LOL!! Radio is on and all I hear is static. The DX started early yesterday actually, at 4:30am I was speaking with gents from NJ, Michigan, and a few other places up north. Heard it was a good day. I shut down radio at about sunrise (7:20 est) or so, but there was still some sporadic DX going. I started speaking with one of my locals here and heard someone say I was cutting their conversation off up north LOL! Changed freqs. And had the longest qso I've had in a long time!! Anyways. To all have a good one. And you as well there NB.

Where are you at NB? I know it's west coast somewhere, but not exactly sure where. My son is taking his first trip to Cali this next week. He is so stoked as he gets to go to the Venice skateboard park, which is supposed to be one of the most popular in the US. Hope he has a blast!!

Cool deal. Hopefully my 19yr old son will have a blast. He is a skateboarder and he is just happy to be getting to one of the best if not the best skate park in the USA. Anyhow. Have a great day.

Man that makes me feel old. Was already in my teens and playing radio when that came out. And I had one of those pocket CBs !.

When that came out, I had a 23 channel Realistic Navaho base station with a Turner +3 base mic hooked up an Archer (Radio Shack) 1/2 wave ground plane. It was a modest but effective set up.

The AM Navaho cost me about what a Uniden Bearcat 980 costs today. Of course, $130.00 in 1976 dollars is probably worth about 4 times that in 2017 dollars.
