4040 barefoot - what's that smell.

Talked to 4040 today. San Francisco to Atlanta and 4040 was barefoot on a Uniden Grant. AND - this was on 28 AM!



4040 - you said your battery was dead. Do you use batteries and a charger for your base radio? If so, how many batteries and what voltage are you using, and how much talk time etc.



I think 4040 talked the juice out of his battery/ies but was still hitting the Lazymobile with 5 lbs. barefoot.



Also 4040 - what kind of antenna you use on your base....or were you in the burb?

Lazy,i heard him on my scanner(N.C.) the other day with a sorry little steel whip for an antenna.4040 got it going on for sure!
