There is a contradiction. Perhaps the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing. Either that or the poster thinks we are all dumb-asses and not smart enough to see the difference.:whistle: And to further the discussion I too am still awaiting the answer to what the noise level of SWR is. Perhaps it was just a mistake just like a few other points mentioned. Example: It is generally accepted in engineering circles that radio waves, particularly VHF and above, travel 33% further than line of sight and not 15% as was posted. This is the reason why we use a modified graph paper scaled to 4/3 of the Earth`s radius when plotting radio paths when preparing a brief for submission. In 22 years of plotting commercial STL paths I have never heard of the 15%. :unsure:
