sometimes when i turn on the NB/ANL switch on the gain on the little meter goes to zero. anyone know why this happens? when i turn it just to NB No problem incomming sounds better and less interference but when it flip it all the way up it goes down to 0 db+

do you mean 0 and the receive goes bye bye ? or do you mean the meter just goes to 0 ? like from 1/2 a db to 0 db ? Noise blankers in cb's tend to make incoming sound a little off from what they would normally sound like with them off , sometimes very simlar to a rf-gain control when you turn them down a little bit. As long as you can still tx/rx I wouldn't worry about it. It'a also getting to be that time of the year that a lot of static electricity is in the air and that can sometimes effect meters fairly easily , what you can do is take one of momma's fabric softner sheets or a dash of fabric softner on a rag and whip the face of the meter with it , (the whole radio for that matter) and this will usually discharge any static - e in your radio. Sound strange ? but it works :D
