so I've been hanging out on LSB 27.38 and have made contact a few times with just the ft-101e i notice it is a totally different way of talking there compare to AM i have caught myself a few times talking as if i was on am LOL now to learn CQ,CQ,CQ
You will hear lots of guys call cq dx, it's short for calling all stations.
Lots of guys chase DX when the band is all over the place like this, ssb can be a lot of fun.
Some ops will use q codes and spell out names/places phonetically when the band is rough.
The 101 is a good SSB radio, it's older but there are lots of them on the air, still doing what they were built to do 40+ years ago.
