I went to work a little late this morning...so had a chance to play on 10m. The band was in excellent shape for fairly long ground wave. I had a nice long 45 minute chat with a couple of Hams over 110 miles away. The signal were up and down from S7+ to nothing at all on the meter but never lost armchair copy with the 2 Gents.
We were all just using our GP's and it was pretty cool to hear the band hold together so we could chat.
This was not the best I had heard extended ground wave, but not bad the way it held up for quite so long.

I was even able to work them from my mobile about an hour later from about the 75+ mile range only running about 80 watts and my screwdriver antenna.

Just having some RADIOFUN on 10m's hope it was that way else where for some of you...

Nice,...reminds me of the times back in the sixties when I used to sit in with friends who were DXing and CQing with thier tube type equipment and home brew antennas.
Kind of "seat of the pants" radio.
