A99 and IMax Wind Load#

I've looked and cant find the wind load numbers for these 2 Solarcon models. Anyone have a clue where I can find that? I've tried the manufactures web site and Google searched like crazy. Cant find it. Thanks

If manufacture has not rated them for wind load then best of luck.
I can say my Imax2k went through two hurricanes here in Florida

Thanks. My focus here is trying to measure wind load difference between these 2 antennas. The mounting has its limitations so I'm trying to see if going from an A99 to the Imax and how much additional load that will apply to the mounting. I'm not concerned with wind survival ratings.

Both being verticals and only a couple feet difference, How can one be significantly more than the other?

Multiple element Yagi's ( beams) is where wind and ice loading on a tower can be a major concern.

Either antenna needs a solid mount in the ground.You can use the A frame or eave of your house with brackets for extra support compared to a free standing mount. There are brackets made just for mounting antennas to a house still available.

To get antenna heights over 15 ft you may need guy wires if you want your antenna to stand up straight.

A99=17.5 feet tall. I-Max 24 feet tall. The I-Max has at minimum, 27% more surface area than the A99. If the IMax has a wider profile than the A99, then the surface area will be yet greater. The difference is significant and that's why I'm trying to find the wind load figures. There will be no guy wires. The mount in the mount, thats not going to change. The only adjustable aspects of this are antenna selection and height.

I have had both and they do well in the wind. The imax my be slightly better than the a99. Not really sure just know they work talked a lot of dx on both.

Because wind loading isn't much of a factor between these 2 vertical antennas as long as the mounting scheme is solid.

A couple of feet and an inch diameter isn't that significant.

Go with the one you feels best and properly mount and secure it.
