Adding channels?

The things that you can do with just a watt meter and frequency counter amaze me.

Now there is a big smooch. Bah haw haw

Aden.....not to sound silly....but ummm

why not just get a radio that is designed for the channels...you can get used ones pretty darn cheap...and wont have to worry about the hassle of realignment and all that stuff.

Like T said..it can be done.....but for a cost

T-how long did it take you to get is close to right?

just to know?

what I figured....

aden...you're off to a helluva start....

just get the right equip instead of just trying to do a lot of things your equip isnt designed for...I think a lot will agree

I had a radio that was done properly. I wasn't talking about it not working well (and yeah, you gotta get it done right). My feelings are based on the fact that you need a conversion chart or external frequency counter to see what frequency you're on. I just don't like having to go..."hmm...channel 6 with switch flipped up is what...oh yeah...27.475". There are a few CBs that have frequency counters that will function with a conversion....and that's fine. Also, if you've opened up the clarifier so you can hit the 0 frequencies, it's a royal pain to find it without a frequency counter. It's just the hassle factor that I don't like.

Well, I had channels added to a Grant XL. Nothing but problems. Do the easy thing. Buy a radio with factory channels like stated above.

How much would it cost to add channels? For the people that have had channels added how much did it cost you. And who would you recomend?
