Anyone have any of the Alinco 330 series switching power supply's?
I purchased a megawatt but the lack of a meter showing it's voltage output concerns me.
Does the power supply cause any rx noise and if so does the noise device built into the 330 shift it to another (unused) frequency as advertised?
I like the 13.8 switch located on the Alinco. No worries about accidentally hitting the voltage knob raising the voltage.
I did purchase the 32 amp megawatt but accidentally raising the kids kind of scares me
The lack of knowing it output voltage meter is something I don't like.73

On my meggawatt s400 I just set the voltage with my fluke multi meter. The adjustment is recessed down low on the front. It doesn't move on me. Mine sits under my desk and out of the way. I pretty much set it and forget it..

My megawatt voltage hasn't ever fluctuated and it's a couple of years old. I've periodically checked it. No noise in my ham or CB radios ever.

My only concerns are the connections for the wires where you have to screw down to hold your wires in place but I just put short leads with quick disconnects on them so I'm not having to screw and unscrew for changing wires.

Yep the MegaWatt power supply is a set it and forget it power supply truly. I've had mine well over 2 years now and I periodically check the voltage and it has never moved unless I move it. Just use a multi meter to set it and if you are worried about not being able to see the voltage all the time, hit the auto parts store and grab a volt meter for a car. Cost is less then $20 for one. And then you can see what your voltage is all he time. That or buy one of the small digital displays off eBay. Much cheaper than buying another power supply when the one you have will work just fine. JMHO's. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
