The lord Jesus Christ and God are not one in the same BM.
In difficult times those who know God will be involved in that suffering also and there is a peace and a strength that God's presence gives but it does not mean that those who know god will escape tragedy.

god already knows what will happen today, tomorrow or the day after to you and me and all...and he can be there for you too if you have chosen to include him in your life, he can be your refuge and your strength and common bond amongst all who seek him.
God's Word tells us, "The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him." And, "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them."

I am just is disbelief. The NRA is already getting ready to rationalize this.

Whether you believe or don't believe in a supreme being doesn't matter, this is just heart breaking.
Naturally we cry from our hearts-God how could you let something like this happen?
But know that God created humanity with the ability to choose. He gave us human dignity of free will. Other wise what kind of a relationship would we have with him if he controlled everything. He allows us to reject Him and to commit evil acts. People choose to ignore God, to defy God, to go their own way and commit terrible acts against others. There is tragedy on this planet everyday, this place where God’s will is not always followed. Yet we are at his mercy, fortunately. He created this place and although problems are so great, only he is unlimited in power and wisdom. Somehow He is able to maintain the freedom of sinful humans, yet still bring about his will. God clearly says, “My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all MY purpose.
And we can draw comfort from that if we submit ourselves to Him. “For God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble”
This is all I will say, the answers to the questions are in my post here and above.
Study that and you will under stand.
For those who find comfort in the lord I thank you for supporting those who were affected with tragedy today and in the past.
This one really hit home as my wife teaches kindergarden, there are only two adults and twenty kids in her school house which is separate from the rest of the school.
Psycho, I am sorry for your loss, My family almost lost me in an auto accident 3 years ago and it was devastating for them to watch me cling to life after being in an auto accident I was not supposed to survive.

I am actually ashamed to see how this got redirected or pushed and pulled off topic. I am a parent of 4 kids and an uncle to several more children so this has quite an impact on and hits me pretty hard I just sympothize with all involved and didnt expect this to be an Athiest message board!! I wasnt preaching just acknowledging and showing "RESPECT" we all have our beliefs and religeon and again that is besides the point of what this is all about today Im truly shocked but this is also a good example of whats wrong with our $hi++y world "So many just think of themselves" sorry if I offended any athiest or other religions or beliefs this was all in respect to those involved and I know there are still those who think of and respect all those involved as I do.
The media always makes a mess of this stuff and I feel they get carried away with what they do. I think the publicity they give the crap unfortunately feeds others that are close to the edge ideas.
Agreed. I fully believe we have not seen the last of this. Given the time of year and the supposed end of the world it would not surprise me to see something else before the end of the year or sooner.
