Amp choices

This subject has been beat to death, do a search. IMO...wait till you have enough cash to buy something nice.

Looking for something new to play with. I get tired of running the big box when I don't need it was looking at small amps Like RM-KL203 or KL203P TNT100, XForce X40 Midnight special MS250 Palomar FET amps PALFET250
and the like. Anyone buying new toys.... Tis the season.... Buy an amp and boost the economy....Spread the cheer.

Are you serious about an X40 or a TNT 100.....they will barely swing 50 watts average (if you drive the shit out of them) and you know as well as me that the biggest difference is between 4 and 100 watts. Get at least a 2 pill.
 
I would go with a 2 pill with 2290s in it, like the TNT 250 mobile amp, u wouldnt need but a 35 amp ps, it has the variable power knob on it, and it has a preamp, and the am/ssb switches already in it, and it also has a fan in it, and a hi/low side in it and it will run with any low drive radios out there, also makes a sweet little driver...its about 240.00 shipped..

Or you can go with a Midnight Special 250, theres no variable power on this amp, have to use the one in the radio if your radio has the feature, it has 2--2290s in it, hi/low side, ssb is automatic, and theres no fan, or preamp in it, but man does it have a big band in a small package, runs around 150.00 shipped, give or take a few $$.....

I used to run one of these little guys, sweet amp forsure..
I ran it with a Cobra 2000...just a thought..
