When I replaced the USB-C charge/data port on my tablet a couple of years ago, it was no soldering required. I got the new part off Amazon for $20. It was a bit tricky opening it up and getting too it to replace it but it was not that bad and FAAARR cheaper than replacing it. It was a $600 tablet, well worth the $20 and a little elbow grease.
