Anyone used this particular antenna ? I know a local selling a few at $25 a piece. Is it worth the price ? The gain is 3dBi on 2 meters and 5dBi on 70cm.

Those look like generic antennas to me. Probably made at t he same factory as the MFJ, etc..models are and labeled differently. For $25 buy one a try it out. You're not going to find a lot of difference in any brand of VHF/UHF antennas as far a performance goes comparing apples to apples. There can be big differences in quality and build and how long the antenna will last before it falls apart.

as long as its a god performer like my tram 1150. wanted something shorter but with out sacrificing gain. could have went with a comet but it had unity on 2 and a small gain on 70cm

Don't worry too much about gain on 2m and 70cm. If you looking at hitting the local repeaters your not going to be able to tell a bit difference between unity and a few db of gain measured against isotropic or dipole for that matter. In the real world most of us are seeing full meter deflection and full quieting into local repeaters anyway.

Heck, I hit a local repeater 7 miles away with a micro ht and a 3" antenna!!!

Just find an antenna that is built well and covers both bands. Don't sweat the gain figures.

Okay thanks for that info bro.
I can hit a local rptr 40mi away at 50w in my mobile with the tram1150 hoping I can do the same with this antenna. If u can do it with a micro ht and a 3" antenna over 10mi or more away then I shouldn't have an issue.

Got the antenna yesterday the gain seems alright cleaner audio on simplex vs the tram 1150. Did a few tests mobile to mobile 10mi away @3-5w simplex. I noticed my 1150 @ freeway speeds(55-90mph) had a lot of reflect and choppy rx audio. For example stopping at a stop light u can hear and also watch the sunit bar graph slide up on down. Don't have this problem with the ANLI AT-2. IT HAS A LARGE spring at the base plus the whip has a 3/4" coil spacing. I will post a picture shortly. Match is good between 145-148 430-450'?'. Only downside is whip is not removabal. Spring has a large wire inside cited in some sort of rubber material. 12 awgawg

I am slightly confuse why the center pin is not connected to the whip. The whip is grounded to the threaded side of the nmo. Maybe there is a coil inside the shaft between the whip and spring.
