P25 & ANALOG.

Sent from my SCH-i605 on Verizon 4G LTE.

I hope you don't plan on TX'ing on that Oxnard police dept. dispatch frequency.

No. Its a rx only personality. I set all my gear for rx only on the commercial bands.

We now have p25 locally on one PD based area. Its just a matter of time before oxpd goes p25 too.

These commercial radios sure are a nice add on to the shack.

Sent from my SCH-i605 on Verizon 4G LTE.

That's almost as bad as the time when I was an RCMP aux. officer. We were on highway patrol and i had my dual band HT with me with remote speaker/mic attached. We met a ham buddy of mine whom I had been trying to get in touch with for about a week. I grabbed the mic and gave him a call on the local repeater. Upon unkeying the mic I heard the telecoms center say "26-Charlie-3, check your radio". I looked at the mic in my hand and it said MOTOROLA and not Kenwood. Luckily the dispatcher at the telecoms office was a ham as well and knew what must have happened. It took a long time to live that one down I tell you. :crying:

I am now picturing Captain Kilowatt in a red suit and hat with an obscenely large chin, riding his horse backwards. :D
