I run a firestick ll. After moveing it to higher mount the swr pegged out the meter the only way i can get down is to remove the adjustment bolt will it hurt any thing to leave the bolt out. Will moisture hurt anything. I thought about using a drop of silicone inthe hole

I think i would seal that opening, moisture will certainly harm the insides of that antenna. I think it would also be a good idea to figure out why the SWR changed as much as it did.
