if you want a quality 2 way system, look for a quality new or second hand hifi amp (rotel,denon,yamaha etc) and a pair of quality hifi speakers (mission,kef,b&w etc), those pc speaker systems are shit by comparison.

use a decent quality interconnect, you don't need to spend hundreds, even basic upgrades from manufacturer supplied leads can make a surprising difference.

you can also add a subwoofer to a stereo setup if it has speaker level input/outputs. you could even wire your cb through it, but rf breakthrough might be a problem depending on your choice of setup.

magnetically shielded speakers (most good quality home cinema speakers) are the way to go.
