anybody ever heard of "blue streak 200"?

Hey folks. Anybody ever heard or know much about a blue streak 200 amp? I have one and can't find any info on it.

Hmmmmmm.....Blue streak 200, blue streak 200, blue streak 200........Isn't that the lable that Copper Electronics slaps on their generic 2 transistor amplifier?

.

I talked to the guy at the cb shop where I got it and he told me a guy in california builds them... I was just wondering what y'all know about them. It will average 80 on low and swing to about 200 and on high it averages 110 and swings to about 270 behind my galaxy 55v with a dk of about 2 and swings to 35 barefoot.

Yup, he builds them high on top of Mt. Palomar.

The Crapper Electronics generic name is Blue Lightning. I would still say Paws is right on, it's probably a cheap garage built Palomar variant with two 1446 finals.

Hope these help. Thanks for all the info already too

I have two Blue Streak 200. I bought them back in 1998. I used one in my truck on a Uniden and on my Realistic base. I’m not a technical guy, but I can tell you both of mine worked great. I’m in Texas and could talk all over the country and the Caribbean islands.
I’m getting the CB bug again. Just got everything out of storage. Gonna fire them up again. BLUE STREAK 200= great!

Might want to say 'goodbye' to it with that much dk and swing.
That is a low drive amp; no more than 12w pep input watts.
That's why they always end up in the garbage . . . . people don't know that and blow them up . . . . no more than 200w/peak output into a dummy load is the sweet spot . . . .
