Hell no...Never go north of 27.800 USB... if you are going to be shady, you at least have to do so with some self limitation...

I agree 100% that FM & Extra Channels are both useless.I purchased a Uniden 980SSB a few weeks ago & love it.I am shocked at how well it works & the transmit audio reports that it gets.Very quiet & sensitive receiver as well.It's a keeper.

Yup my 980 has been good for sure, as stock radio goes. It is a good unit.
