I am just trying to figure out how the Anytone AT-6666 SSB power can be internally turned down. I would like it to operate between 25-30watts. My guess is I could adjust the POT labeled SSB PH inside on the board. Can anyone tell me if they have done this and how?

You can adjust W3 (SSBPH), but I would adjust W6 (SSBANL) first. If you can't get down to 25~30 watts, then adjust W3 for less than 12v @ TP9.

W900 - VOL - Echo Volume
W901 - DEL - Echo Delay
W800 - RF Gain/Power
W801 - Clarifier/Squelch
W802 - Power Switch/Volume
W500 - FMMOD - FM Modulation (Deviation) set to 2Khz
W501 - AMMOD - AM Modulation - AM TX 1khz@30% modulation Mic gain Max RFPower Max - turn W5 full CCW; adjust W501 for 95% modulation;
adjust W5 for 90% modulation
W502 - SSB Carrier Balance - USB/LSB TX mic gain Min RF Power Max - set to minimum watts
W1 - PL - RF Power Min FM no mod set to 2 watt
W2 - AMPH - AM Power High - 12watt RF Power Max
W3 - SSBPH - SSB Power High - USB TX no mod RF Power Max adjust for 12v @ TP9
W4 - FMPH - FM Power High - 30watt RF Power Max
W5 - AMANL - AM Modulation - see W501
W6 - SSBANL - SSB Modulation - 60watt RF Power Max
W7 - Final Bias
W8 - Pre-Driver Bias
W9 - Driver Bias
Pre-Driver Bias - J3 - Pre-Driver disconnect
Driver Bias - J4 - Driver Disconnect
Final Bias -

Good Luck

I'm glad I found this my high dead.key was set at all but 20w turned it back to 12w.

I sure hope someone knowledgeable can point me in the right direction. Everything was working fine and then I started losing sideband swing... at first, I thought my battery was dieing in my Turner Plus Three mic. Pulled the battery and it was hot. Very good battery. I checked the menu to see if the mic gain was magically turned down... I live alone. Nope, right where I left it. If I speak very loud I do get swing but knowing what I know about my mic I should never speak that loud or be that close. In short, it seems I'm losing ssb power. Everything else is fine. Earplug, plugged into the back of radio with talkback on, I speak calmly from 2 1/2 feet away from the mic, my voice is clear and clean as if there isn't a modulation issue... but the meter does not swing until yell. >>>>W3 - SSBPH - SSB Power High - USB TX no mod RF Power Max adjust for 12v @ TP9<<<< what does this part mean? "USB TX no mod"??? I've searched on line and have not found anyone asking about this issue. I'm at a loss... I really like this radio. Please help.

I make my own as well.

but as SHAKY McQUIVER starts to solder he reaches the wrong item n finds out the tomcat has claws ,thus leaving racing stripes upon SHAKY McQUIVERS noggin

Let me try to clarify:
W501 - AMMOD - AM Modulation - AM Mode/ Transmit a 1khz tone @30% modulation / Mic gain set to Max/ RF Power set to Max:
Step 1 - turn W5 full CCW; adjust W501 for 95% modulation
Step 2 - adjust W5 CW for 90% modulation (yes, the modulation will go down)

W502 - SSB Carrier Balance - USB and LSB Mode/ Mic gain set to Min/ RF Power set to Max/ TX/ - adjust W502 for minimum carrier between USB & LSB (should be 0 watts in both Modes).

W1 - PL - AM/FM/SSB Power Low - FM Mode/ RF Power set to Min/ Mic gain set to Min/ TX/ -adjust W1 for 2 watt carrier.

W2 - AMPH - AM Power High - AM Mode/ RF Power set to Max/ Mic gain set to Min/ TX/ -adjust W2 for 12 watt carrier.

W3 - SSBPH - SSB Power High - USB Mode/ Mic gain set to Min/ RF Power set to Max/ TX/ -adjust W3 for 12v* @ TP9 on the motherboard (pin 1 on J3 & J4).
If/after you adjust this, you need to re-bias the pre-driver and driver.

W4 - FMPH - FM Power High - FM mode/ RF Power set to Max/ TX/ -adjust W4 for 30 watt carrier.

W5 - AMANL - AM Modulation - see W501

W6 - SSBANL - SSB Modulation - USB or LSB Mode/ Mic gain set to Max/ RF Power set to Max/ TX/ -adjust W6 for 60 watt P.E.P. on watt meter.

* = 12v for mobile use, 13.5v for base use on regulated 13.8v supply.
