as far as i know it isn't out in the us or uk yet,but on the very near horizon,i believe its made by ranger rci and will be available under many brand names,

i'm sure it will be available throughout europe soon,most likely via crt france as they are the main importers in europe for ranger rci radios in europe.

i believe dave 91dd018 is awaiting delivery on some in new zealand.might be worth contacting him if you can't wait till they are commonly available:

Hi Guys!

I have access to one of these radios and will be able to review the rig soon. This much I can tell you.... Almost identical in size to the Cobra 148 GTL or similar Galaxy radios. Not made by Ranger or Maxon. Continuous coverage from 25.615 to over 30 mHz. +10 kHz switch. Continuous clarifier. Six bands of 40 channels. Fully programmable on each channel. Six digit readout plus 40 channel display. Last two digits are used with the clarifier and this is programmable. All lettering of the front panel are back lite in colors. (y)

Clarifier is a wonder on this rig as you push the knob, it clicks and the digit you want to change will flash three times, then you can modify the frequency! :w00t:
The clarifier can change in ten kilohertz, same as the channel selector and down to 10 Hertz.... and all in between! :eek:

Sold in South America as the Hannover BR-9000

These things sure look to be a nice rig!! I cant wait until they finally hit the market here in the USA!! :headbang

I have a few of them here if anybody wants to try them early.
Postage is the killer. about US$80 to the US.
US$300 includes the courier charges.
I have 4 left.
It is an interesting radio...as a radio it doesn't do anything particularly well or badly. but I should comment that the receive is very very good. However it does have an agc problem and it does distort with strong signals till the rf gain is reduced. It only goes to 28305 out of the box. You can program it yourself with the US$15 additional USB cable. The manufacturing is very good and it is stable on SSB. Runs a cool 22w from the twin IRf520 finals. Tx audio is clear.
Personally I find it too fiddly. I reprogrammed the free band and most of 10m in 5khz steps which suits the way I operate. The clarifier has 4 different modes. You better get familiar with them. It has some strange traits....UP/down on the mic is always good. The asc works great on AM.
Pretty good effort first rattle out of the box for anytone.
And just quietly they told me they are working on a new 100w version but would not release details if it will be different or just a repowered AT-5555.
I have gone back to my other radios but old Mike the yeticom tech down in NZ whacked a 125w brick on the back of his and says it is not leaving the desk! I sent one to a guy in NY and he loves it! Xmas is just round the corner and I guess coloured lights are in.

have you file to load to make it run from 26-30 mhz..bloody headache tryin to figure it out..
 
It may be an old thread, but there are still some new ones being sold shipped from China. I just bought one.
I like the radio, I just wish I knew how to brighten up the backlighting for the knobs. Mine is very dim and difficult to see in the dark. A dimmer on the LCD would be nice to have too.
