The band is crowded from one end to the other right now with Europe. I haven't seen this knd of band opening since the last great cycle. Wow!!

You new hams who are not on 10 right now are missing out big time on some great fun and making contacts on 10 that don't happen all the time. Get yoursef a good 10 meter rig and get in there!!! :D

I worked RUSSIA with 80 watts and a R7 vertical

So far this fall I have worked many EU stations including Germany and Italy..and this is all from the mobile, I am getting ready to move again and do not have a station at home.
You do not need a tower and a beam.....my simple 8 foot fiberglass whip mounted in the back corner of the bed on a ford Ranger maybe 4 foot off the ground and I am right in there with base stations. Ten meters is a awesome band for working mobile and with the way the band has been the last week or so it is ripe for the picking.
You have heard people say you can work the world with ten watts.....Ten meters is the band to do it on.

I haven't seen conditions like this in a couple of cycles! (Yes, I have been around for a few...)

I have my HTX-10 set up on my patio with a 5/8 mag-mount on a steel picnic table and just worked a Florida station followed by a JA. Both on FM!!

This shaping up to be a cycle we will talk about for a long time...
