Someone finally did it! They made a tiny radio with SSB! It's the size of the Anytone Smart, but with a slightly bigger screen and knob.

Picture I stole from Facebook

This is really exciting! There are lots of people with little bitty cars who haven't really had many options for a small footprint SSB radio.
How much smaller than the 6666 is it ?
Hopefully the insides are made by Qixiang and not RCI or President, and that way-too-bright orange screen can be dimmed (or even better dimmed and turned green like the 6666pro can).
Based on the frequency displayed in the pic I would assume it's convertible to run 10,11, or 12 meters. I wonder what the release date is and if it will be available on Amazon? Then there's the elephant in the room......the price, especially up here in Canada.

If they stick to the specs that Simon posted, 24.715 – 30.105.

Where the heck is the clarifier ? Kinda need one with all the off-frequency stations that populate the band these days.

Ugh. Looks like clarifier is a menu function ?!?! That'll be fun.

No VFO either so getting to the '0' channels is only possible by programming one or two in. That would be a deal killer for me as I operate on the zeros a LOT

Phew.......I was sweatin til I hit Simon's site and saw it wasn't too MINI to have ECHooooooooo

Edit: 5 to 6 huns..... no way!
! That would be north of $900 Canadian at the current shit exchange rate. That puts it WAY out of my current (and probably future) spending budget LOL!
For that kind of money I could buy a couple of 6666Pro's and have a two radios that are only a wee bit bigger but have way more features.....

It is not QX made, but regardless it looks interesting! I hope the quality will be there when it is released, and the price sensible. It is tiny... significantly smaller than any other 10m SSB radio on the market. (There is a Youtube video of someone holding it in one hand, and his hand was bigger than the radio).
