Attaching radials to homemade antenna

Alright, it's been awhile since I was on here and am now finally finishing up the "flag pole antenna" for the CB radio. I have been pretty happy with it, I am receiving transmissions from other states (weird I know, but hey, it works) and transmission is pretty good at long ranges as well, but since it is a ground plane antenna, I would really like to add more radials. Now, my question is, if I was to make a junction board (k, pretty much a small board with a bolt and wing nut on it. a loop would be tied in the copper shield from the coax, the loop would go over the bolt on top of a washer, on the ends of the radials (closest to the mast) there would be the clamp on eyelets for electrical work, those would slide over the bolt, and then then wing nut would tighten down and make all radials contact fully. Anybody think this would work well?

Oh...here is the thread by the way...

since you already have 4 radials on your antenna adding more wont give any real difference . nothing wrong with doing it to be different or to see the non-effect yourself or just for something to do . im gonna try 8 on my home brew and see how it does a few feet off the ground before i put it up over the house .

i like to be different , if it doesnt hurt anything ;)

BTW , your homebrew 1/4 wgp looks better/cleaner than mine did . good job sir :)

Haha, yeah, I am just messing around, finding THE BEST set up for this radio. I am considering doing a half wave instead of a 1/4 wave, I have plenty of places to put the tower.

As a side note, I am making a a Yagi antenna for Dxing out this way, any idea on if I can make a 1/4 wave yagi antenna compared to the standard half wave that everyone makes?
