Attn: OH, KY, TX, NC, TN and MO Residents. CCW Class

That's what I thought, but Ohio AG gives his blessing. Local County Sheriff is pro gun and says it's cool.

After all is said and done, the total fees are $20 bucks over taking a local 12 hour class.

No brainer for me and a few local buddies.

Well here is the thing, is most states they can deny you a carry or CCW for things that would not otherwise prohibit you from owning a firearm, like DUI conviction, shoplifting when you were a kid or some other similar misdemeanor.
This looks like a new loophole, and yes I did do my homework, not on this company but on virginia's non resident permit, and its all the rage now mainly because its cheaper and less hassle than my own state, a 1 hour online class for $50+$150 for the permit, vs $100 class that takes 12 hours and 2 days and $80 fee for the permit.
My only reservation is my state's attorney general might change his opinion about it because of these loopholes.
Already, WV currently will not honor virginia's out of state permit, for WV residents. Anybody else from any other state, WV will honor their permit, just not their own residents. Other states might follow suit.
But damn, after today I never knew starbucks was soo good.

If Ohio changed, it would require legislative action.

God bless VA.

I believe any law abiding US citizen should be able to conceal carry "without" a permit.

Being a NC CCH instructor, I can tell you that is not valid. You must attend a minimum of 8 class hours, plus pass a live fire, timed course of fire.

I will be happy to forward that link to the NC Deptartment of Justice.*Don`t do it*

I suggest you contact your states attorney general. Cause you be wrong.

Look at NC AG website under concealed carry. You can read the agreement of reciprocity.

9 out of 10 certified instructors in Ohio are equally misinformed as well. They don't like us being able to avoid their class and loose out on the $$$. A few instructors I've talked to personally, didn't believe there was such a thing as a non resident permit.

Buckeye Firearms Association is supposed to be an advocate for us law abiding citizens to be able to protect ourselves.

But, they are the same assholes that want all the time consuming redtape bullshit we have to jump thru. Why? because training is a revenue generator.

No law abiding citizen should need a damn permit, of course, the Libturds will disagree. In addition, the instructors will all disagree as well since they make $$$.

Yes, I am an asshole.

One thing is for sure. To even APPLY for your CCH in the state of NC, you have to have a Certificate the state provides to instructors. These forms are registered and numbered when given to the CCH instructor. When the student passes the course, the instructor signs & issues the student the Certificate.

Do you actually think your going to get that from an online course?

Yes I do.

Did you even read North Carolina Law regarding this issue? I WILL NOT be applying for a NC permit. The non resident Virginia permit allows me to carry in your state by an agreement with your states attorney general.

I don't mean to be a total ass, but you need to educate yourself so you do not continue to misinform.

BTW, this is not new. It's been this way for quite some time.

Other States' Permits Honored Here

Effective December 1, 2011, North Carolina automatically recognizes concealed carry permits issued in any other state.

Out-of-state permit holders should familiarize themselves with North Carolina’s laws.

What does a non resident permit have to do with the OP's link?

Any idiot knows what states honor out of state CCH.

Did you get your permit in your home state by taking an online course?

If so, great, you are covered.

I am telling you any NC resident will NOT get a NC issued CCH by taking an online class.

Required Documents:
Application completed under oath on a form provided by the sheriff
Full set of fingerprints administered by the sheriff
An original certificate of completion of an approved safety course
A release that authorized and requires disclosure to the sheriff of any records concerning the mental health of capacity of the appliant

Requarding my education, I had to go to NRA to become a valid instructor, then to the NC Justice Academy to be certitified in all laws concerning requirements to get a CCH, and use of deadly force in the State of NC. FYI, I was in the SECOND class of Instructors for the State, and have a direct contact with my County Sherrif when matter like this arise.

I contacted them this morning, sent him the link, and he just laughed. He is now in contact with all instructors in this county to keep people from falling for this scam.

I thought you were saying I could not carry in your state with a non resident permit. However, a NC resident can take the online course and carry in the other states that recognize VA permit, but not in NC.

Looks as if I am misinformed on that part.

However, God Bless VA.

Too many rules.

I'm going open carry from now on.
