I've two autek WM 1's. One is illuminated and the other isn't. My question is does anyone know why autek chose to have the power receptical reversed? The + is where the - normally is and the - where the + should be. When I looked at my first one I thought it was a meter someone had got their hands in and mistakenly soldered the input in reverse. But when I looked at the second one it had the same unusual power input configuration. I looked up what information I could find online and apparently this is the way these meters came from the factory. Although neither of mine have a sticker stating that the + is - and the - + on the back of the meter, I've seen some online photos showing that they probably came with this warning when purchased new. Is there a technical reason this was done? 73

I had four of the Autek WM1,,gave one to a friend still have the other three,,good meters and pretty accurate within reason.

Some of mine had the Neg as center some have +
as center.

Just whatever deal the manufacture could get on wall warts at the time.

I believe the manual is available at one of those online manual sites of you do not have one. Explains how to check which walwart you may need for the PS if yours does not have one.
