Built in amp or regular single/dual final type?
Connex 4300-300, 4600 turbo, general hp40w are some talkers in my experience.
Three or two final, my vote would be for the rci-39vhp, mx-36hp3, galaxy 33hp just based on what I've owned.
All just my opinions based on experience with the types and received reports

I like my Magnum S45HP...I have had many people tell me "damn that's a loud radio". Good luck finding one.
I remember hearing the magnums back 15 or so years back and I'll agree they are talkers. I once owned a Magnum 1 but it wasn't anything like the real Magnum radios of back then.

Im quite happy with my stryker 955 so if I were to buy an am only rig id probably go with a 655.
The Magnum 1 is a pretty cool radio for being of the newer style. It really shines on SSB because they have a TCXO circuit making it just as stable as ham rigs. For good old school Magnum audio though the Maverick A-24, Delta Force, Omega Force S45 and S45HP, 257 variants, and the entire "S" series radio's all rock. Some are getting tough to find.
Any 2 bipolar finals with series modulator rig. NPC-RC-RWOB set on scope and you can't go any better.
