Yah thats a common event here in Wisconsin my wife hit 2 in the last 3 years the dandy of her life was hitting a full size black angus steer in South Dakota about 4 years ago that one was bad she was hurt or roughed up a bit in that one
Glad you guys are ok. Seeing dead deer is quite common along the interstate here in the mountains of VA. I'm sure others in deer prone areas have experienced the same. I have been fortunate in that I've only had one encounter and the damage to my wifes car which I was driving at the time, sustained around $1,200 worth of damage. Hope you get your vehical back soon.
The rut should be starting up very soon. They are already chasing does and not paying any attention to anything that's going on except for chasing that doe. Drive slower on your way to places and keep an eye out for them. The appear when you least expect it.
I live out in the country now and deer are everywhere! I like to drive under the speed limit a litle for that reason but people seem to get mad and pass me but thats alright they can find the deer before me :shock:
