CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT THIS IS?

I've a friend who uses Verizon services for her computer and smart phone.
This person is convinced that her phone and computer have been spied on by her X.
This device has been in her basement along side of the Verizon wifi equipment for the longest time.
It was just unplugged and didn't affect her service. Can someone please tell me what it is and what it's purpose is? Thanks for your help. Ps I use a smartphone for all my needs and my knowledge about home PC's and the like is zero. Thank you.

It never ceases to amaze me how paranoid some people are when it comes to something they have no idea about. It is simply a broadband modem of sorts. Obviously where she lives had Sprint at one time. This link is not about this unit but another model that is very similar.

I agree. People are paranoid but in her case it's fact that her X was indeed spying on her. He was able not only read and see pictures that were sent via text but also accessed her emails and web searches. I'm not sure if he's still doing it but it's moot at this point. He's probably using her wifi connection and has some of her passwords...Tell her to change her passwords and check her wifi settings.

Change the passwords....problem solved. I needed to change my passwords numerous times and it's a good idea to do it on a regular basis.

BTW that picture might be one of Hillary's email servers.
