I am in the process of ordering electrolytic capacitors. When I got to the 33uF caps, I ran into something I didn't quite understand.
I am trying to understand why I cannot just order 16v caps instead of 6.3v caps. I know the lower voltage rating caps have lower ESR, but if I can find a 16v part specified as low-ESR, is there any other reason for not using them in a 6.3v spot? What kind of ESR is tolerable in these sensitive spots?
