Anybody know of threads in here pertaining to stuck meter problems or have advice to give. I have a Cobra GTL 2000 coming in with both meters sticking and would like to do some reading, and get some ideas. Thanks in advance!

There is a tiny screw slot visible through a hole in the rear of the meter's plastic housing. It sets the tension on the pivot bearing. Backing it off a quarter or half turn will sometimes free up a seized pointer. Takes a fairly small jeweler's screwdriver.
And the risk is that the meter just won't free up. Might fix it cheap, might not.

Thanks for the source, just in case. 2 new meters is suppose be coming with the radio but I will try to fix the old ones first,just in case.
Should have used mikes radio repair trick before buying meters helped me plenty of times, saved about 6 meters

Thanks for the input but I would like to have a couple on hand if the fix doesn't work or doesn't last very long. I watched that video before ordering the radio that is suppose to be supplied with 2 new meters. If the repair works I'll keep them as back-up or sell them. Be just my luck to break one getting it out and I want to talk skip while it's rolling ! LOL Remember in the maintenance world. "Murphy's Law Prevails"
Well received the 2000 GTL yesterday and the 2 new meters were installed. ( Easier said than Done ) I freed up one of the old meters and will keep it as a spare and the other one I ruined by trying to Super Tune. ( I should have left it alone when I first freed it up ) The radio is working but will probably need a tune-up as most Old radios from eBay do.
