CH 5 During the AM

I have been hearing what sounds like asians with heavy traffic here in the AM, is anyone else hearing this?

Hi Audioshockwave:
Channel 5 AM is Mexican Trucker Channel,just like Channel 19 AM for the US.
Maybe is skip from the South Pacific Islands,you could even hear them on ssb a little bit offset like 27.013 lsb.
This could happen in any channel even channels above 40.

Big on channel 5 around here MC , these latino's are pretty nice guys as well , even if you don't speak the tongue , most speak english and will come back with a friendly asked radio check , not all ,but most. I suppose with all the border bullshit going on over the last year , they get a lot of crap from others , now if it ain't the black man , it's the Mexican man , way things are anymore , I can't say i blame them to a degree , My live in girlfirend of 7 years is Mexican , and I honestly understand the laws of the land to a degree but like the black man , this crap tends to get totally blown out of proportion !! and it makes me sick !! It's like the way things are structured in this land , biggotry and hatred for one another is almost as if it is built in and supposed to be that way ? I just don't get it sometimes ? ......I believe in one thing and somebody else believes in another , 'Love your neighbor as yourself.......way I see it , there's a lot of folks in this world not doing a whole hell of a lot of loving period !! ...they might think they are ....but far from it . .........Yes , there's Latino's on channel 5. Peace

REACT might be working in your area ? but 20 years in this hobby , only once did I ever have words from someone who claimed he was REACT on 9 , yes I respected the fact that channel 9 was for emergencies , but good luck getting any help around here on 9 over the years !! Would be best to say in the big city , and I really needed help , I'd take my chances on 19 , most truckers have cell phones and I don't . I figured if I begged hard enough , one might feel sorry for me and drop a dime. (-:

Hi all:
We are liable to find bad apples anywhere,like we do in our backyard once in a while.
Is a shame that some pleople doesn't have respect for this particular channel,I do and believe or not I try to enforce respect on this channel from my side.
Is use in the south of Mexico for Emergency Only,Base and Mobiles are standby and report that they are listening for emergency.
So,if you hear someone just having a conversation with out anything related to an emergency,please help us to keep the channel clean.
I know the main reason,is because out all the 40 channels channel 9 has the less noise or QRN,therefore more easy to comunicate,but the use with out any emergency related should not be allowed.
