Cheap 100 watt dummy load its not.

The really tragic thing about this, is that he already sold some at this price.

A $40 item for $226, unbelievable!

Think I paid $20 for a used one locally a couple of years ago.

Almost asked him if he always finds that many fools to buy that thing at that price.

Hey, paint cans and resistors are getting pricey. Throw in the SO-239 and this thing is one hell of a bargain.

And by bargain I mean rip off.

The tragic things is that people will fall for it because some think that Redman is a CB god or something. This is the same rip off artist that was selling the truckers noise toy in this thread.

"This is a electronical testing piece of equipment. Mis-use will burn it out. Therefore all sales are Final. "

WTF "electronical". LOL. He must be a real electronical genius.

BTW MFJ has basically the same loads for $74.95

MFJ Enterprises Inc.

The MFJ load in your link consumes legal limit. His dines on 100 watts. MFJ's 300 watt equivalent is less than $40.

The guy is a scoundrel.

Actually CK, I'm glad you brought up that link for that MFJ dummy load. Still have to get one before I can fire up that Swan.

Wonder if that MFJ 1.5kw dry dummy can be put in a gallon can of xformer oil. I need a solid dummy load for this amp!

Not the electronical kind - either.

The mfj load is legal limit for about ten seconds woth lots of cooling time snd 100 watts continuous or so they claim. Redman's looks like it may have the same size resistor element but not sure. Either way he is ripping folks off.

Anyone want to start a pool on how long it takes for him to show up here making wild claims or threats?

I got an old Heathkit Cantenna that I've had for a long time. I like it, but it's getting a little rusty and beat up. I need to get a new can and freshen it up. Carry handle is a nice bonus.

I am sure most folks have seen my load before but here it is again.

This is ten 500 ohm 100 watt (or 200 watt I forget) Globar resistors

which became this

and was stuffed into a 16 quart stock pot full of pure silicone based dummy load oil and made into this.

Total cost was $10 for the load at a ham fest and $25 for the stock pot at Walmart. $35 for a load of this caliber is not bad at all.

Looks like an ebay glitch or he fat fingered an update, all the other 99 that already sold, sold for $26.99.
