RE: Christmas Party

I'm happy to inform you that the company Christmas Party will take place on December 23rd, starting at noon in the private function room at the Grill House. There will be a cash bar and plenty of drinks! We'll have a small band playing traditional carols...please feel free to sing along.

And don't be surprised if the Managing Director shows up dressed as Santa Claus! A Christmas tree will be lit at 1.00 p.m.
Exchange of gifts among employees can be done at that time; however, no gift should be over $10.00 to make the giving of
gifts easy for everyone's pockets.

This gathering is only for employees! The Managing Director will make a special announcement at the Party.

Merry Christmas to you and your Family

Pauline

RE: Holiday Party

In no way was yesterday's memo intended to exclude our Jewish employees. We recognize that Chanukah is an important holiday, which often coincides with Christmas, though unfortunately not this year. However, from now on we're calling it our ' Holiday Party.' The same policy applies to any other employees who are not Christians. There will be no Christmas tree or Christmas carols sung. We will have other types of music for your enjoyment.

Happy now?

Happy Holidays to you and your family,

Pauline.

RE: Holiday Party

Regarding the note I received from a member of Alcoholics Anonymous requesting a non-drinking table...you didn't sign your name. I'm happy to accommodate this request, but if I put a sign on a table that reads, "AA Only," you wouldn't be anonymous anymore!!!! How am I supposed to handle this? Somebody?

Forget about the gift exchange, no gift exchange allowed now since the Union Officials feel that $10.00 is too much money and Management believe $10.00 is a little cheap.

NO GIFT EXCHANGE WILL BE ALLOWED.

Pauline.

RE: Holiday Party

What a diverse group we are! I had no idea that December 20th begins the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which forbids eating and drinking during daylight hours. There goes the party! Seriously, we can appreciate how a luncheon at this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees' beliefs, perhaps the Grill House can hold off on serving your meal until the end of the party - or else package everything up for you to take home in a little foil doggy bag. Will that work?

Meanwhile, I've arranged for members of Weight Watchers to sit farthest from the dessert buffet and pregnant women will get the table closest to the toilets, Gays a re allowed to sit with each other, Lesbians do not have to sit with gay men, each will have their own table.

Yes, there will be flower arrangements for the gay men's table, too.

To the person asking permission to cross dress - no cross dressing allowed. And No, no blow-up sheep.

We will have booster seats for short people. Low fat food will be available for those on a diet. We cannot control the salt used in the food. We suggest those people with high blood pressure taste the food first. There will be fresh fruits as dessert for Diabetics, the restaurant cannot supply "No Sugar" desserts. Sorry!

Did I miss anything?!?!?!?!?!

RE: The ******** Holiday Party.

Vegetarian pricks I've had it with you people!!! We're going to keep this party at the Grill House whether you like it or not, so you can sit quietly at the table furthest from the "grill of death", as you so quaintly put it.

You'll get your f****** salad bar, including organic tomatoes, but you know tomatoes have feeling, too.

They scream when you slice them. I've heard them scream. I'm hearing them scream right NOW!!

Hope you all have a rotten holiday * drink, drive, and die!

The Bitch from HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: Pauline Lewis and Holiday Party

I'm sure I speak for all of us in wishing Pauline Lewis a speedy recovery, and I'll continue to forward your cards to her.

In the meantime, Management has decided to cancel our Holiday Party and instead, give everyone the afternoon of the 23rd December off with full pay.

Well I am glad to say that about an hour or so ago I returned home from my kids CHRISTMAS concert. Yes, it is still called a Christmas concert. This was mentioned in a notice from the school a few years ago that it would continue to be called what it has always been called. There was one song celebrating Hanukkah and one celebrating Kwanzaa, which I nor anybody else objected too, and all the rest were about Christmas. Some schools have begun calling a Holiday concert or winter concert but so far so good for my kid's school.Oh well, the youngest has only one more year there and then I am sure things will be differant in middle school.

I'm out the door to my sons Christmas band concert as I type, I'll let you know what the band instructor refers to it as.

I'm glad my company still calls it the christmas party, and even offered free beer to employees if they brought a designated driver or rented a room at the hotel it was given at.(y)
I removed my child from the public school system, because english was becoming a 3rd language, and her talking about christmas and what santa brought her was a bad thing. When i asked why, it was explained to me that not all of her classmates celebrate christmas and there are kids in her class whose parents are less fortunate and it made those kids feel bad. So i guess this is all my fault because my family does celebrate christmas and i can save money for presents for the holiday. I want my country,my god, back. Everyone please forgive me for having a job and saving up money to pay for gifts for my family, BAD Daddy:headbang

And yeah that shiite was sad but true

The program was titled "The Sounds of Christmas" straight up %100 jingle bells and silent nights. (y)

The kids were great and it only took 2 hours. :headbang just kidding it was great.

They had an Angel tree for the local Hospice and decorations of Santa's elves painting Christmas ornaments as a back drop.

Funny you should mention school concerts my wife just informed me on the long ride back from my sons basketball game that tomorrow we have to be at the school by 7:00pm tomorrow night for my youngest daughters Christmas Concert LOL AAAHHH its not so bad its actually pretty comical at times watching the wild kids dance around stealing the spotlight.

Hell 2 years ag when she was in 1st grade one kid got so nervous he through up right on the risers while they were singing :drool:pS

No i actually live in the frozen tundra of brown. But it seems that if you don't speak spanish or hmong then you are out of place here. City hall was actually litigated against for the nativity scene in front of it, so it was removed. Hell the city was compelled to put a bus line out here so those "less fortunate to have a car" can have decent neighborhoods to live in with govt. subsidized housing. now we see more cop cars since that happened 2 yrs. ago then the previous 5 yrs. Hell even the DNR let non english speaking poachers go, rather than end up in court for discrimination.

I work for two different organizations, and thankfully at both we still have Christmas parties. I'm on my way to one this evening, and the other will be an actual office party on the morning of the 23rd.....

The High School my children attend....(son graduated last year, daughter's in the 11th grade).......a good 1/3 of the students are Jewish, and the school itself is located in a predominately Jewish town, they celebrate both Christmas, and Hannaka (sp)......and everybody gets along with that just fine....
