I need to rewire my truck but instead of using the truck stop coax I've been looking at the LMR. Is the LMR 240 equivalent to RG8X?
It is the same size, but solid center conductor is more efficient, but stiffer. If your set on that coax, check out the LMR-240 Ultraflex.
It was a nightmare trying to fish that 400 ultraflex through the hollow body panels of my vehicle. I think the lmr-240 ultraflex is probably the ideal choice for most people. The 400 flex is almost as stiff as the regular 400.

It's awesome stuff.
That stuff looks great, but seems hard to find here in the states. It seems to be really popular over in Europe. I like the copper foil much better than aluminum foil.Used Buryflex on my truck. Had some left over from base antenna. Attached the specs. Also attached is couple of other charts.

I was mistaken about the copper foil in Buryflex. This is what I had in mind.
I haven't found an American supplier. Here's the specs though. How much is Ecoflex per foot?
