im have two old cobra's that im going to sell as is for parts.
the first is a regular cobra 148, made in 91 philippines model. its pretty beat up, ssb is NOT WORKING. it squeels through the speaker when in lsb or usb. the clarifier is modded to cover A channels. the display is missing segments.
its recieves fine and transmits a carrier (no battery in a broken mic to check for modulation)
just the radio. no mic, no cord sold as is no returns. repair will be needed for full operation. i didnt bother to see if anything is clipped, chances are it it.

next is a 148f it recieves and transmits a carrier. thats the good part
the bad
everything else. the frequency counter segments work when they want to, the button hardly works for the freq counter. the mic gain pot is doesn't have any wires going to it. it has extra channels (above and below 40) on two of the buttons. the clairifer has been opened up for extra channels (has 10k slide), and the power plug on the back has a messed up pin. it should be changed.
