Cobra 148gtl meter

Might be the quad op amp, the S/RF switch, or a diode in that circuit - first blush.
You will need a voltmeter. a sig/gen, and a schematic to track it down.
Thanks for advice,do you think the final has to do with the RF issue? Its also missing r131 thanks. Also my swr calibrate works as well as the swr reading so is just the receive issue.

it sounds like you are saying that the meter itself works, as in you can key the mic and it moves over toward the right in the CAL and SWR positions of that switch, but when you are in the S/RF switch position, that the meter does not respond.

is that correct?
if you key the mic in the S/RF position, will the needle move to the right or not?

how did you know they were bad?
your first post said you had aligned the radio, which would not have been possible if those coils were bad.
im confused.

agreed.
they could have just turned VR7 all the way up to get the same effect.

also, anyone who sells a radio that they claim was just aligned, and had two bad coils in it, should be noted as someone not to deal with.
LC
Since they clipped R131 that should speak volumes about the alignment quality.
