Hi guys bit off a long shot this one but hopefully someone just may able to help me out ??!! have recently restored an early 80`s cobra 148gtl dx mk2 back to better than new condition, totally standard ie. no extra bands. no extra switches nothing !! anyway as with a lot off these 148gtldx sets at one time off its life the serial plate from the rear panel has been removed, no doubt all part off the extra modding process !!

so what I am looking for is one off these very serial plates, being a mk2 cobra 148gtldx I have here the serial number plate that I am looking for would start with the numbers #13###### as I say 99.9% restored just require this very last piece off the jigsaw if anyone could help me out ??

located here in the uk, will pay £15 GBP or equivelant $$$ for the correct item if anyone could help me out ??

*****

lastly - as part off my next project am looking to restore a superstar 360fm ssb set, dont suppose anyone has a mint unmarked face panel laying around that they could sell me ??!! again top price paid.

failing a replacment face panel anyone know off a link to where I may find a very good face panel decal, only ones sold here in the uk are actually very poor quality and not really worth fitting to such a fine radio

thanks guys,
john- scotland- uk

Hello in the 108, have you tried Cobraworxshopz.com.If there are none to be had there your next best bet would be to ask on the european boards or watch egay for one that has been Joey'd.

Hi there thanks for your reply, okay yep tried cobraworkshopz on a number off occasions without any joy, you say try the european boards ?? lastly tried a few sellers off this radio on ebay but not had anyone take me up on my fine offer off cash yet !!!

Your probably not going to have much luck with the serial plate, but it is worth a shot... I do have a extremely nice 360 faceplate, but it is still attached to the radio.

As for Vinyl stick-ons there are a few on the market, I doubt any will live up to restoration standards, but your best bet is probably
eBay My World - debsdecals3181

She is a nice gal to work with, and her Vinyls are very good quality...
