i have not got the radio yet bought it on eBay (parts or repair) the guy i bought it from says it got output power?????
all my other cobras does not have any audio when the mic is disconnected from the radio my guess is something wrong whit the mic .i live in Sweden so the nearest chop is in England i might send it over there forrepair

many radios only give rx audio if the mike is wired properly with all pins wired, if tx audio is the problem could be mike wiring, could be mike preamp,could be a shorted capacitor shunting the audio to ground,

once you receive the radio if you give a more exact list of symptoms the radio is showing/not showing many of the guys on here might be able to help you out, but be aware the cobra 200's are notoriously poor radios, with nothing but problems.

got the radio today..has audio when mic is connected
transmits and receives on AM FM but not on SSB needle does not swing at all but
weak on am fm
somebody has added a jumper wire in it..no such mods as far as i know

no roger beep aether

I have a uniden pc68 that exhibits the same symptoms and I know it has a mic plugged in and the mic has been checked on another radio.

Good luck, the Cobra 200 has a disasterous failure rate as far as radio's go. Hope you got it for a steal of a price.
