Cobra 25 ST WX NW bulletin - which blue wire?

I'm trying to eliminate the WX alert, and the TSB says to remove the blue jumper wire soldered to the back of the board. There is a wire soldered there, but only one end. The other goes around and down to another area I cannot see without cutting the zip ties.

Is that the wire? There are more than one, but only one withba solder connection obvious. To me a jumper is one spot to another, kinda like the grey shielded jumper on the left side..

Remove the top cover from the radio. Towards the front of the radio there is a
blue jumper wire soldered on the board. This blue wire provides the alarm
sound when the radio detects a weather alert signal.

copied the main line from the bulletin. it says just pull the top cover and the wire is towards the front of the radio. should only have one wire on top of the board. the speaker cover is the bottom of the radio. just unsolder the blue wire towards the front and mark where it came off of and see if that kills the wx problem. can not believe there is 2 blue wires on top of the solder side as listed. why would they do that to confuse a guy .
give it a try

I do plan to disable the ST here eventually. Gonna give a 2sc1969 swap a shot, remove the blue wire, and disable that circuit. Just waiting on my finals to arrive. Unfortunately it seems the "original Mitsubishi" are Chinese repops the more I look into it 5 for $10 on eBay..... Oh well, we'll see how my luck is....

cutlass, i believe that the wire soldered near the PLL is the right wire.
won't hurt the radio to remove it and see.

most likely you will get fake finals.
i dont think there are any real ones for sale on ebay.

best bet on ebay is to find a junker radio that originally had this final in it, and buy that.

if you are looking to buy a real 1969, RF parts, and barkett electronics are the only reliable sources i know of.
