what do ya'll think of this mod?

I found the directions off cbtricks.com to do it. maybe radio shack has the components, anyone know?

btw, I have a cap and resistor mod, will I still have a low dk??

yes ,you will have a low DK like 1 to 2 , but the extra pep will be there say 30 to 40 (some more some less) the cb tricks mod to those is one thing , getting a higher DK from them is the trick . so in other words , there's more to it then just the cbtricks instructions when it comes to a higher DK , as I said , you'll get the pep swing from the instructions but you will surely get the low DK from the get go , so for running a hot box , I'd say you were fairly good to go from the get go. More parts need to be changed for a higher DK from the mod's ,but IM sure somebody else will tell you different. Good luck Tex.

Thanks Jim, a 1-2w dk is what I am looking for anyhow. The cbtricks mod looks fairly simple. I called up rat shack about the availabilty of the mosfets but they dont have them. I guess I am gonna have to find them elsewhere or buy off ebay.

I bought the parts off c o p p e r. The en1230 and erf2030 was like 8 bucks shipped. Im glad i found them there instead of paying 20 bucks off ebay.

I am gonna try and put them in and leave the cap/resistor mod in to see what I get, chances are I am gonna have to take them out but I wanna see what they will do together.I am thinking the dk will be way too low.

yeap . chances are you wont need the cap/resistor , the Mosfet should do it automatically for you if all works right for you. Should be 1 to 2 watt DK swing'n for the fence ! with Audio from hell !

I am willing to bet that the connex/general aren't as much as you think they are. Try it with a filter in series after radio but before power meter.
