I Just bought the Cobra hh-RoadTrip / HH38WXST, and have been searching online to get the charging adaptor for it, which it is nearly impossible to get it in Canada, so I figured buying a universal adaptor would work, only to see cobra won't specify the voltage and +/- for it like most. So my question is, does anyone know the specs for the chargin adaptor for it, so my quest can be over? Thanx

does it take a battery or is it a sealed unit. if it takes a battery it might list what voltage it is. then again, with a name like (roadtrip) id go out on a limb and say its 12 to 13.8 volt. some of those things got a power plug just like a scanner. maybe even if you can find a cigerette lighter plug that powers a scanner it will fit. course i have seen a couple small portable scanners that are 6 volt. google it.

It takes batteries, and has a recharge circuit, but you have to plug in a different socket on the unit, which is of coarse different than the supplied adaptor. I hate replacin batteries, and it a pain to recharge 9 batteries when my battery recharger only charges 4 at a time :p
