Confused after being granted Vanity Call

Today 27 February 2021 I was granted my new vanity call sign KT4RAM and it showed up on the database where I was able to print my FCC Reference Copy of my new license.

Now checking the database again my original call KO4LYF is showing as Canceled due to my Vanity call being granted yet my new call KT4RAM is no longer showing up anywhere on the database.

I can't use KO4LYF since it is showing as Canceled due to being Granted my new Vanity Call.
and I can't use my Vanity call because it isn't posted in the database now...it disappeared.

Not sure which call to use today??

In my case the original was a tongue twister. Used it for 2yrs. 100% of the time not a single person on the other end of the QSO got it right without having to repeat it at least 4 or five times.

I always hated my suffix.. was kind of a tongue twister. Also a vanity gave me the option to go from a 2x3 to a 2x2 and get my initials.. for me it was a no brainer.

I really would like to get a k9 1x2 eventually. Just haven't seen the ones I want yet become available and when they do I know I will be one of many competing for it...

I got mine to go with my initials. AB 7 my region XX which is hard to mistake and gets attention. My brother got a vanity sign of NA5XX.

mine was hard at first,lived with it n now im fine with it.

I could after a little while say mine easily. It was everyone else who couldn't.

Try busting a pile up with that tongue twister versus the vanity call. A world of difference.

I wanted a prefix that would give me an advantage in the CQ WPX contests. Not many NB3's. I also wanted a short CW call. Mine is relative short to send but many get confused with the B followed by 3. I often get N6? So now I give a slight pause after the B and it is not a problem.

Try copying VE5EEE at 30+ wpm.

Some call signs are tongue twisters and even using phonetics can be difficult for DX stations to decipher. In my case it was that and I wanted my initials so it worked out for the better over all.

I went vanity to something that meant something to me, something shorter, and something easier to say with phonetics

The last 3 were Kilo Zulu November on my issued call sign, that sucked....

Echo Foxtrot Romeo is much easier for me to say and the other end to understand
