Connector Question

I have a workman uvs-300 2meter/70cm base antenna. It has an SO-239 (UHF) connector, but a pl-259 connector seems to fit. Are they interchageable? And if so, what is the difference between the two?

It has an SO-239 (UHF) connector.


SO-239 is the female that the Pl-259 male screws into..

EXAMPLE in the back of your radio is a SO-239..ANT connector
