Connex 3300hp looses channel led and no TX RX until it's tapped or then it comes back to normal any ideas or anyone had this happen it's kinda weird

Could possibly be either a worn out channel selector, a poorly seated ribbon cable, or a cold solder joint somewhere in the PLL. Good places to start looking at least!
Does it lose both LEDs in the channel display ? If so it could also be an issue with the power feeding the PLL.

Yea completely out seems like the board flexes it comes back to normal

Pull the covers, fire up the radio and use something non conductive to press gently but firmly around on the board, I use a pencil, eraser end.
Flexing the board may reveal a cold /cracked solder joint.
Good bright light and some magnifying glasses help.
I hate intermittent issues like this.....

This is how I fixed a Realistic TRC-449 in 2021. No RX/TX, but poking around the damn thing sprung to life. The cold solder joint was hard to see, but after adding a bit of solder to that area, its been great since.

A radio that was used in a mobile bracket is supposed to have a rubber washer between each side of the radio and the bracket. The gap that it takes up will cause tension if they are left out. The bracket will pull outwards on the sides of the radio when the bracket screws are tightened. This tension will loosen solder connections to the parts bolted to the side rails. The 9-Volt regulator transistor is a frequent victim of this fault. The channel digits are powered by that regulator.
