CQ DX

I remember back about 40 years ago I had my Siltronix 1011 over at my buddy's place, we had just finished doing an alignment on it utilizing his service set. When we finished, we were up around 27.555, just surfing around, and we heard one of the locals, boots loaded and 3 sheets to the wind calling cq dx. i immediately flipped the antenna switch to the dummy load and started to play with the radios power output and frequency. and proceeded to answer him with "come back weesconseen USA dees eez da jabber wookie, Capetown, sout afreeka calling. I kept sliding back and forth so he never locked on for a good hour until the sun rose finally I brought it back to full power and center slot. Made up some german curses with my buddy's help and claimed the radio cops just kicked in the door. It was good for 6months of laughter until one day i was cruising down the road in my jeep with a built up cobra 132 with all kinds of personalized noise makers in its mike. So the jabberwookie gave him a 500 watt shout out and the guy went nuts yelling that he told everyone I was real, So I hit him wit a shot of the TREXX and a flock of angry eagles and called him by first name tellin him of course I'm real. Everyone got it, except him. I had to put the mike down and shut the radio off. my laughing was messing up my driving.

*Edit: Didn't look closely at the frequency, assumed this was 11m. Entertaining none the less.
