The only problem with Craigslist, EBay, etc. is that many sellers have no idea about radio equipment.  So many people pick things up at yard sales, estate auctions, and such and try to resell them for profit.  Often times they damage them in the process of "testing" them for operation.  Their, so called, testing often damages a perfectly good working radio.  Either that, or they just know it doesn't work and sell it anyway.  They list it as "no way to test so selling as is."  Buying used is always a gamble.
