Have this push bar stand that I've put a Tweety in. Stand label is missing and I forget which one it is.

TUG9? TUP9? other?

Thanks for any help!

Never heard of a TUG9; just the TUG8.
Could be wrong.
I have a TUG8 and a TUP9. Looks like you have the TUP9 to me...Never seen a TUP9 with a silver base...Looks like someone did a home-brew conversion to me...

Hi Robb, nah these gray base with push bar have been around a while, just trying to get the right # with it. Thanks!

The guts are similar, but not exactly, like Silver Eagle guts.

yuk ! guts !

I have had a few of these D104 mics. I have had the TUP9 many moons ago. I currently have a flawless Silver Eagle and a flawless Night eagle sitting on my desk. But I have never seen this mic that you have posted with the knob. What is the knob for?

Hi there MIZ, I stated in the opening post that I have put a Tweety in it. I am making the Tweety Bird Noise Toys again (from the '70's). The knob is a Variable Control that varies the warbling repeat speed. I'll post another pic of the back so you can see the Push Button for Tweety activation and the Toggle Switch is overall on/off for the Tweety.

Thanks!

I have various variable tweety bird mics and modules for DIY installation for sale at the present but not listed here. PM me if you chance to be interested. This mic, in excellent 9 out of 10 condition is available for $150 shipped. Also have a regular TUG8 for $135 and a Turner +3 for same. Prices shipped with insurance. New battery and wired 4 pin.

he is correct.the tup is the pushbar stand and the tug is the grab stand .
the tug8 has the electronic/relay switch in the base
the tug9 done away with that switch and is a 6 wire mic .
the tug8 is a 4 wire mic.

so the 8`s are 4 wire with switch in the bae
the 9`s are 6 wire and done away with that switch and added more wiring options.

i have had a few tug9`s and i still have a mint one.

sparky has a few new old stock tug9 stands for sale with no heads for like 75.00 i think.gray bases.i was thinking about one ...but...i still got 5 d104s over here.

ps- does that p stand you got there sing on keyup?i could never get them to sing on keyup in those stands.only the button would work.at least in silver eagles i tried anyway.

Hey Funky, Yep it sure does. Works same as all the ones I have done. Same grounding situation....the ground from the Tweety goes to chassis ground. I usually attach under one of the screws that holds the mic cord down. They're out in the open and easy to get to.

There may be some problem associated with the chip that your Tweetys have. I think yours are the CA3086 chip but all the ones I have seen the numbers are scratched off and I have only heard that that is what they are. The tweet-on-key up has never been a problem with the CA3045's that I make.
