I have 2 questions.

1) L303 what is its value and were can I get one?

2) 47UF 350wv Filter caps have 3ea. solder terminals: A 47uf 350wv
B BLANK
C Negative Black

Ive never seen these before can they be replaced with Radial or Axial 47uf 400 or 450V caps?

Yes to #2 and I'm still looking for a part number for L303. I know it's a 27MHz tank coil

I would see if you can locate a parts list online somewhere.

there should be a part number listed on the side of that L303 can.
You might have to pull it out to see it.

as for the old can caps, Unit 75 has already answered so i will just add that many times with these old can caps, they included an extra lug that was just there to serve as a tie point for other components.

if you want to keep the vintage look, you can remove the old cap(s) from the can and put a new one in and re-seal it up.

L303 and L302 both are the same and have 340012A stamped on the side of them. The parts list in the owners manual shows the same number. The caps are just regular electrolytic caps but with 3 leads like you said. Only 2 are used + and -. There are 3 of these 47mf 450v caps in the radio. If your radio has 350v caps they are the wrong value. The original ones which are light blue in color are 450v.

L303 is also used in the cobra 19 as L202. It is listed in the parts section as Dynascan # 0460399008. I took a look at Ken's Electronics site and saw everything but that one. It is a Toko LA series part. I think it may be listed as LA 154 but he shows no price for it so he may not have any but it wouldn't hurt to call him. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to part substitutions. Other manufactures probably make the same thing and Ken may know what their part number is. If you have a junker Cobra 19 or know someone that does you could get the part from that. I have old Cobras but not a 19 so I can't help you out. All the one in those others are from a different manufacturer so I don't know what the correct number would be.
